Always Be Snarky With the Craps Don’t Pass Bet

Craps Don't Pass BetCraps is a very social game where players often win and lose together while rooting for the same outcomes. However, you can flip the whole game around with the craps don’t pass bet. This bet allows you to bet against the shooter and the vast majority of the people that you will be playing against. Some people like to be antagonizing, but this adds more fun to the social aspect of this particular game since you get to have friendly competition against the other people involved. There is also the added benefit of having a slightly better payout rate than the traditional approach to craps.

How the Craps Don’t Pass Bet Works

For the most part, the don’t pass bet will win when the pass bet loses, and vice versa. However, there is one small exception to this. A total of 12 will lose for the pass bet, but it only pushes for the don’t pass bet instead of being a full win. Overall, you’re going to win on a 2 or 3 and lose on a 7 or 11 while you push on a 12. When a point is established, you’re going to win when the seven comes first instead of the point.

Take It Further By Laying Odds

Just like how the pass bet allows you to make additional bets by taking the odds, you can do the opposite and lay the odds when a point is established. If the point is a 4 or 10, you’ll be paid at 1:2. When the point is 5 or 9, you’ll have a payout of 2:3. Finally, with a point of 6 or 8, you’re paid at 5:6. All of these bets will win when a seven is rolled before the point is rolled again, and since it’s more likely for the seven to come first, these bets all pay out at less than 1:1. In general, you’re going to win more often than you would if you were on the other side of the bet, but you’ll win smaller payouts. Laying the odds has a zero percent house advantage for any point.
