Las Vegas Online Gambling Conference Next Week

Las Vegas Online GamblingWhile Las Vegas is considered the center of the gambling universe for a lot of players, especially those from North America, it doesn’t necessarily have a very healthy relationship with online gambling. While online poker is legal in Nevada, no other forms of online gambling are. One of the reasons for that is that live casino owners see online gambling as unnecessary competition, and they will do whatever they need to in an effort to protect their own interests. Coming up next week, however, is a big conference that could lead to some interesting changes in how Las Vegas sees online gambling.

Conference for Las Vegas Online Gambling

A total of around 700 people are going to be at the iGaming North America Conference next week. This event will happen at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, and it will feature a special keynote speech by two of the main players in the Las Vegas online gambling scene. These two people are Ultimate Gaming Chairmain Tom Breitling and CEO Tobin Prior. Their speech is probably going to deal with things that they have experienced when dealing with the newly-regulated Nevada market, and it’s something that a lot of live casino executives will be interested to hear.

Friend and Foe

One of the things that really stands out about this edition of the conference is that people are going to be speaking who are on both sides of the fence. Obviously, you’re going to have people who are in favor of expanding online gambling in the United States. However, you’re also going to get people who have what they think are the best interests of live casinos in mind, and they’re going to speak against the expansion of this particular industry.

Both sides are pretty important to the conference because the conflict is something that a lot of casino officials are experiencing for themselves. The key idea is that they’re going to have to figure out a way for online gambling to be an extension of their brand without creating unnecessary competition.
