Italian Net Entertainment Push Through New Deal

Italian Net EntertainmentThe legal landscape for online gambling is always changing no matter where you are in the world, but things have been particularly interesting in Europe over the past couple of years. Different countries have decided to regulate the industry to protect their players and to protect their interests in terms of collecting taxes from the proceeds, and Italy is one of those countries. The general idea here is that they want to offer a limited number of licenses to top-tier companies so that only the best and most accountable are operating within the borders of their countries.

Italian Net Entertainment Deal Signed

This situation has brought together some interesting deals between different companies, and another one is here now. Net Entertainment has formed a partnership with GameAccount Network, an important software platform supplier in Italy. They are already secure in the regulated side of the market, and Net Entertainment is partnering with them to make their position in that market even more concrete than it is now. This partnership is going to allow NetEnt to offer up their games for both mobile and downloadable platforms to a number of operators inside of the regulated Italian market.

Strategic Moves in a Tricky Environment

One of the interesting things about this wave of newly-regulated markets is that it has created a number of situations where it’s better for companies to partner together than to try to beat each other out. Because the number of licenses given in each country is typically rather limited, two competitors can go together to work out a deal to effectively operate under a single license as long as their interests aren’t really in conflict.

The point here is that it’s forcing companies to work together for the best interests of the players. Competition has always been what has fuelled the best for players in the past, but now we’re seeing situations where cooperation is doing that as well. We’re sure that Italian players will be more than happy to have an increased access to Net Entertainment’s portfolio of top-tier games.
