No Bovada Poker Offering in Nevada and Delaware

No Bovada PokerEarlier this month, we covered the news that Bovada had stopped allowing players from New Jersey to get in on the action for their online poker services. It seems that this is going to be a growing trend for them now.

There will now be no Bovada poker available in the states of Nevada and Delaware. While there are no clear indications of the specific reasons why this change has been made, it’s not hard to imagine that these changes were put in place for the same reason that the company pulled out of New Jersey a few weeks ago.

The Reason There’s No Bovada Poker in Two More States

There was a big problem in the state of New Jersey with Bovada when it came to the games they were offering. A lot of these problems came into the light after an official complaint was made about affiliate programs offering these services to players from these states for sites that are not licensed on the state level. Bovada could be avoiding future problems from Delaware and Nevada by just pulling out ahead of time instead of waiting for the inevitable lawsuit.

Changes in the US Online Gambling Landscape

It’s easy to see that the face of US online gambling is changing. Solid sites that have a great reputation are being essentially forced to pull out of states that have started regulating the industry. Bovada started it’s pull out of New Jersey after a number of US-facing affiliates were given instructions from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement with threatening language.

One interesting bit about these developments is how quickly they are happening for the bigger and more well-known sites that aren’t regulated in these few states. Bovada is a name that is huge for players in the United States, and they’re one of the most popular and most recognized online gambling providers in North America. For this to happen with them is a sign that they are taking things into their own hands sooner rather than later.
