Amaya Gaming Adds PokerStars Online Casino Games

PokerStars Online CasinoBack a few months ago, Amaya Gaming shook things up in the online gambling world by purchasing the Rational Group, the company that owns and operates both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. In a very bold move, they have decided to start adding online casino games. PokerStars online casino games will be available by the end of the year in most markets, and more titles will be added on a regular basis to give them a full selection of casino options. They have also announced their intention to try to add sports betting options to the PokerStars software client as well.

Why a PokerStars Online Casino?

There are three main groups of players when it comes to opinions on new casino games being added to the largest poker room in the world. The first main group consists of players who don’t really care one way or another, and maybe they are even glad to have more options available even if they don’t plan on using them. This is the majority of players.

Another group is a very vocal minority that primarily consists of professional players who complain that these games will take away from recreational play at the tables which will hurt their ability to make money. While they do have a point, believing this is a very short-term and short-sighted approach.

The Real Long-Term Effects

The third and smallest group consists of industry experts such as your author who can see past what’s happening in the immediate future. This group believes that these changes will make the poker tables at PokerStars softer and easier to beat by the end of next year. The reason for this belief is that the sportsbook and casino games will bring in more recreational players than PokerStars was getting in the past, and this will lead to more fun games. One of the main complaints about PokerStars is that the games are so tough, and we believe Amaya’s move to add casino games will help that problem.
