SugarPop Slot Review

The November 2013 release of Betsoft’s SugarPop Slot marked the end of the long wait for the sweet-as-candy 3D slot sensation that took its inspiration from the extremely popular Candy Crust Saga game. Betsoft Gaming has always been known as an innovator and risk taker when it comes to their games, so there was no question that this game would be a hit, and it has more than lived up to those expectations.

Game Themes and Features

The main theme of SugarPop is more or less what you’d expect from a game modeled after Candy Crush Saga; it’s candy canes, cotton candy, chocolate treats and sugar sweets. The Tumbling Reels slot is a 5×5 grid with symbols that cascade down the reels. In order for a player to win points, they need to get winning combinations of 3 or more candies of the same color so that the candies pop. As the symbols pop, they are replaced by more falling candy. For every combination a player gets, they receive points that will allow them the chance to move up through the various levels of the game.

How to Play SugarPop Slot

One of the things that many players tend to love about the game is that it has so many dimensions. This isn’t just an ordinary game; it is a mix between a social and a video slot and it can take up to four hours to complete a game. This last facet has been received with mixed emotions; some people really enjoy it, while others prefer that it were a bit less time consuming.

The main aim of the game is for players to get candies of three or more colors to touch so that they pop and get replaced by more candies. The Super Color Bonus: when a player hits a combination of 4 or more candies of the same color, they will win a multiplier if they are able to match the same color before their next spin.

The Color Bomb: a player needs to match 5 of the same candy pieces to set off a “bomb” that will explode the entire screen.

Jelly Beans: players who have reached level 12 have access to this bonus. This feature activates the Jelly Bean that will jump across the screen and explode everything that it touches.

Coins and Betting Range

The betting range is between 50 and 250 coins. The tokens include; 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 1.00.

Verdict

The SugarPop Slot is most definitely entertaining, even once you’ve reached level 20 and there are no more exciting bonuses to take advantage of. Overall, this game is most definitely worth a try if you’re a fan of online slots, especially if you are also a fan of Tumbling Reels games.
