Android Casino Players May Benefit from Google’s Android Pay

Android casinoAndroid Pay is a new payments platform API from Google, which will power in-store & in-apps online payments. It basically allows casinos to use NFC (Near Field Communications) capabilities or tap-to-pay systems for making payments using their Android phones.

It is an API payment platform which will allow the Android casinos to incorporate this new payment system to their existing system. It is a competitor to Apple Pay that is available on the iPhone.

Google Wallet has long been available for the Android mobile casino players to make purchases both online and in store. It didn’t take off because of the hurdles faced from the major telecom carriers. They road blocked this new payment system mainly because of the loss in the transaction fees that they might face.

How does Android Pay work?

It is similar to Google Wallet. Only it’s much slicker and smoother. If you’re shopping or playing at a mobile casino, tap the terminal to open the Android Pay.

  • Once you have zero in the payment amount, select the Android Pay option.
  • A screen with your payment detail pops up.
  • Confirm the transaction amount to complete the billing process.
  • Confirmation receipt will be sent to your mobile phone.

The entire process is secure because of tokenisation. It is a new process wherein a onetime credit card number will be generated for every transaction. In layman terms; random numbers are generated to cover up your credit card number. This prevents the hackers from getting your credit card details.

The advantage is that, you can remotely lock and shut down your Android Pay in case your phone is stolen.

How all Android Casino players will benefit from Android Pay?

A majority of the mobile casinos particularly the Android casinos, offered payment transaction using the Credit / Debit cards from Visa or MasterCard. The players were subjected to hidden fees whenever an online transaction was made to deposit or withdraw their funds.

The current scenario is that, the banks and credit card companies usually charged a nominal fee for every transaction made. Visa and MasterCard recently introduced a new standard where there was a complete break from adding processing and transaction fees to every online payment. It makes it practically a free transaction. There is no excess amount that is required to be paid by the players from mobile casinos.

When will Google’s Android Pay hit the market?

It is still a murky question, as Google has not yet set the launch date. As of now, news is that it will be available only for Android phones with NFC capabilities and KitKat 4.4 and above version. Currently, it is mainly focused on improving your online shopping payment experience. The introduction of this payment platform for the Android casinos in the future; will add another payment option for the mobile casino player.

The new standard regarding the transaction and procession fees may not benefit Google right now. But the absence of this extra burden on the players, will appeal to them as the mobile casinos particularly the Android casinos incorporate them into their existing payment systems.
